Synopsis
For Triple Living’s April Fools’ campaign, I recreated the iconic “Stieren van den Dam” as a fully detailed 3D model and brought them back to life through both digital imagery and a physical 3D print.
Based on reference images and historical documentation, the bulls were carefully reconstructed in 3D, with a strong focus on anatomy, surface detail, and realistic materials. The digital model was used to create highly realistic visuals for the campaign, convincing enough to make people believe the statues had actually been found.
The project did not stop at the digital stage. The 3D model was also prepared for production and 3D printed, transforming the digital reconstruction into a physical object. By combining 3D modeling, visualization, and 3D printing, the campaign blurred the line between reality and fiction — exactly what made the April Fools’ story so believable and successful.
This project shows how 3D can be used as a powerful storytelling tool — not only to visualize ideas, but to create narratives, generate attention, and even bring lost objects back into the physical world.
